The sixth encounter of the EBU Digital Storytelling Labs network took place in Bonn (Germany) on the sidelines of the Global Media Forum, June 20, at the kind invitation of DW Innovation Projects. The focus this year was on innovation in digital news storytelling.
Participants were presented with some of DW Innovation’s major technical projects on big public data processing, instant speech rendering and fake news verification. In the afternoon media innovation specialists from 11 EBU members heard the latest innovative storytelling formats and projects from their peers.
EBU's Digital Storytelling Labs members work together to foster creativity and innovation in the fields of web and mobile creation, interactivity and digital storytelling. Members exchange collaborative solutions, knowledge and ideas for innovative digital products based on their own experiments.
The host Lab presentation and visit will be followed by a group discussion to share feedback and best practices with the network, as well as to continue defining next steps for the Network.

Registration details
Target audience: representatives from EBU members’ News or Innovation labs and to colleagues from the Digital News experts group experimenting with new formats and products for News.
Limited seats: there are only 30 seats available. First come, first served basis.

On the evening of 20th June, attendees are invited to the Global Media Forum Dinner cruise along the Rhine river.
