Women’s sport is arguably one of the key talking points of 2019, with global growth and a significant upward trend in investment, sponsor and broadcast commitment.
This special session, hosted jointly by Eurovision Sport and Nielsen Sports at SporTel Monaco 2019, brings together leading experts from UEFA, the French Tennis Federation and the Olympic Channel to share experience, insights and further discuss the business case for getting involved. How can we break down the barriers to the undisputed growth potential and how long will it be until women’s sports can be seen as commercial opportunities of their own?
The panel will share the business strategies that drive growth and bring greater commercial value to their women’s properties, whilst also discussing the intricacies of equal portrayal as a crucial factor to cementing women’s sport as a key player in the commercial and media landscape.
The session will be moderated by BBC journalist Nina Goswami, one of the leads on the corporation’s pioneering 50:50 Project which aims to increase women’s representation in broadcasting.
The session will take place 14:45 - 15:30, Tuesday 22 October in the SporTel Monaco Conference Room and is open to all registered delegates of SporTel Monaco 2019.
