2020 has been a year unlike any other, marred by a global pandemic, worldwide protests and a contentious presidential election.

Amid the ongoing breaking stories, nations relied on technology and social media on a massive scale to keep themselves informed and connected. At the same time, social media has enabled and amplified the spread of mis and disinformation.
