Newsdeck, the new Eurovision News Monitoring Tool

The Eurovision News Monitoring Tool celebrates its anniversary by getting a more user-friendly interface, one specifically designed with newsrooms in mind. Join us to explore Newsdeck together and help us make it even better.

The search function has been enhanced, filters have been optimized so that editors can find precisely what they are looking for, and a new look makes it easier to share and follow in real-time the topics of your interest.

Currently, the tool collects an average of 2.000 news items (text and video) daily. These are all machine-translated into English thanks to the EuroVOX software, and other languages are available on request. Initially launched in February 2020, this beta service for Members of the Eurovision News Exchange is designed to provide real-time insight into the diverse range of online news from across Europe’s public service media (PSM) newsrooms.

The tool is open to all members participating in the News Exchange and those radio-only organizations willing to share their content. It has grown from 14 to 20 members in 2021, the latest to join was RTS Switzerland. NOS, LRT or SNRT are currently in the integration phase. The more organizations join the project, the more powerful this news intelligence tool becomes.

The Eurovision News Monitoring Tool is a window to content, built on universality, diversity, excellence and innovation. With more than 40,000 journalists, PSM collectively makes up Europe’s largest newsroom– Newsdeck helps to access and search the wealth of the EBU Members online content instantly translated to your language.
