Euroradio contact engineers meet in Istanbul at the kind invitation of TRT

During their annual plenary meeting, Euroradio engineers will decide on the renewal and upgrade of the Euroradio satellite network equipment used for live concert transmissions.
Important decisions will also be made on changing the delivery of the 4,000 annual concerts as sound files from the current MusiPOP system to a new delivery over the Internet, using the same platform of the new EBU file exchange system that is currently being developed for Eurovision.
A completely new application for smartphones will also be agreed upon. This will allow a permanent connection among all radio broadcasters taking live concerts, making possible the exchange of the latest news on an event's running order.
