Member news: TRT president Ibrahim Sahin re-elected

Ibrahim Sahin has been re-elected as the president of EBU Member, Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), giving him a second four-year mandate at the head of the broadcaster.
Sahin was reportedly chosen from a shortlist of three candidates after a meeting of TRT's Radio and Television Supreme Council. The Council's decision was signed at the Council of Ministers meeting on Monday and was referred to President Gül for approval.
Sahin, who was first elected to the post in 2007, has worked on improving TRT's image and ratings. He managed the launch of 14 new TRT channels, including the 2009 launch of TRT's first Kurdish channel.
