Technology: EBU technical experts supporting ASBU in Tunis

Experts from the EBU Technology & Development Department are in Tunis today sharing their knowledge and expertise with the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).
The two-day ASBU seminar focuses on content production and IT in production, as part of the organization's broader push to replace traditional tape with more efficient file-based technologies.
EBU's Head of Production Technology, Hans Hoffmann, was giving a presentation on interoperability in file-based production environments, and Senior Project Manager Jean Pierre Evain gave an introduction to service oriented architectures (SOA) and metadata.
This intensive seminar ran from October 10 to 11 in the Tunisian capital, and provides a floor for user reports, manufacture options and dynamic discussions between specialists working in the field.
