New DG of Algerian TV

Mr Tewfik Khelladi has been elected new Director General of Télévision Algérienne (EPTV). He took up his functions on 15 February, replacing Mr Abdelkader Lalmi.  Mr Tewfik Khelladi (56) had previously been Director General of Algerian National Radio (EPRS).

He has a degree from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Algiers and has spent most of his career as a journalist with Algeria's News Agency (APS). During the 26 years of his career with APS, M. Khelladi held several top positions in various agency departments: reportage, economics, politics and international news.

Monsieur KHELLADI, who was elected President of the African Broadcasting Union in 2010 for a 2-year mandate, speaks Arabic, French and English
