Eurovision TV Summit kicks off with Special Focus on Scandinavia

After five inspiring Eurovision TV Summits in Lucerne Switzerland the Summit will now take place in a new location yearly. It will open new doors to discover the media landscape in different parts of Europe. Thanks to the kind invitation of EBU Member, DR Denmark the Eurovision TV Summit 2012 is taking place in Copenhagen 24-27 April.
The former “Common Focus Day” is being transformed into a “Special Focus Day” highlighting, this year, what Scandinavian broadcasters have contributed to public service media. It will be a unique opportunity to share, network and learn about their work and experiences. The “Special Focus Day” will of course embrace the ever popular “Proud to Present” showcasing the best in European public service programming of the year in all genres.
Expert Groups are meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to follow their individual programmes and give a unique occasion to meet colleagues from other public service broadcasters, to make alliances, share information and develop new projects.
The Eurovision TV Summit 2012 will provide a unique opportunity to gain valuable insight into the Scandinavian media scene. It will highlight current trends in programming and innovation and encourage the exchange between public service media.
