Hungarian public media launches unified branding
10 August 2012
MTVA, the Media Support and Asset Management Fund introduced new branding for public television, radio and internet portals on the opening day of the Summer Olympic Games. The new look, which is the outcome of an in-house development effort, was first presented on TV and will gradually appear on all platforms of PSM.
The new image embodies the unified Hungarian public media system – clear design for easy and quick identification. The new channel logos combine the ancient symbol of unity and continuity, the circle with art deco inspired elements which create a dynamic image. In addition to the graphic logos, the television channels’ individual profiles are strengthened through on-screen images of faces (m1, Duna World), communities, i.e. families and friends (m2) and hands as the symbol of connection (Duna) and therefore represent an explicit move towards social media.
Special LandArt elements featured in a natural environment round up the introduction of the new public service media branding system.
