Sharing best practices on Integrated News Production
15 November 2012
Helping each other more was one of the core themes at the EBU News Assembly in Barcelona this week. And that goes further than sharing editorial visions of what news should look like. Technical and organizational best practices are in high demand. The EBU’s Integrated Media Production Strategies (IMPS) project is addressing this need by organizing site visits to Members, for Members.
More than 70 EBU Member representatives are already part of the IMPS programme. At the News Assembly, the EBU’s Hans Hoffmann (pictured above watching a live video link to IMPS facilitator Henrik Keith Hansen) and Nathalie Labourdette provided an overview of the key lessons learned during the recent visits to Radio Bremen, Yle, RTBF and VRT.
Next activities include a dedicated Network & Learn event in December and visits to more EBU Members throughout 2013. The IMPS project is an interdisciplinary programme run by the EBU Technology & Innovation Department and the Eurovision Academy.
