RTV Slovakia's new director general, Vaclav Mika, visited EBU headquarters in Geneva in October – and uncovered the range of services on offer to Members.

Mr Mika was accompanied by RTVS's new Financial Director, Radka Doehring, and the Head of International Relations Slavomíra Kubičková. Like Mr Mika, Ms Doehring worked previously for TV Markíza, a Slovak subsidiary of the commercial CME group.

After a welcome meeting with EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre and Head of Member Relations David Lewis, the Slovak visitors were briefed by Chief Financial & Administrative Officer Wallace Macmillan, Director of Sports & Business Stefan Kürten, Media Director Annika Nyberg, Legal Director Jane Vizard, and Lieven Vermaele, Director, Technology & Development.

They also met Tim Greig, Manager of Network Resources, and were given a tour of Eurovision Operations and the newsroom by Sam Dubberley, Head of News Exchange.

RTVS was formed through the merger of TV Slovakia and Radio Slovakia in January 2011. Mr Mika took over as director general on 1 August 2012.
