New agreement with the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO)

02 April 2013
New agreement with the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO)

The European Union Youth Orchestra  (EUYO) is an orchestra like no other. It unites Europe's most talented young musicians under internationally renowned conductors, in an ensemble that transcends cultural, social, economic, religious and political boundaries, all in the common pursuit of musical excellence.

As from last year when the EUYO was invited to the Euroradio Music Plenary meeting in Geneva to present their activities, the EBU Radio Members agreed to make everything possible to promote the EUYO on air and possibly find agreements to record the EYYO for national broadcast and further EBU offers

The EUYO started their 2013 Spring Tour at the Music Festival Interlaken Classics with two concerts conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy and featuring the worldwide famous German violinist Isabelle Faust. These concerts were recorded by the Swiss German Radio CHSFR, as will the concert in Bologna by the Italian Radio ITRAI, the concert in Warsaw by the Polish Radio PLPR and the one in Barcelona by the Catalonian Radio ESCAT.

These concerts will by distributed by Euroradio soon!
