Eurovision rewards the right connections

The best in European public service media (PSM) promotion, marketing and design was celebrated in Brussels yesterday at the Eurovision Connect Awards.

The hotly contested accolades were presented at an afternoon ceremony (29/5) in Brussels during the 2013 Eurovision Media Summit.

This year, 250 entries from 24 countries were received. After an initial review, shortlisted entries were screened at the Eurovision Connect conference, which attracted 155 participants from among the
EBU Membership. Participants voted for their favourite promos.

Yves Podevyn (VRT), Chairman of Eurovision Connect 2013 said judges had been impressed by the quality of entries.

"Our sincere congratulations go not only to the winners, but to all the entries that were shortlisted for screening," Mr Podevyn said. "I'm delighted to say that world-class creativity was justly rewarded in all nine categories."
