EBU Partnership Programme presentation in European Parliament – Follow it online!

On Wednesday 19 June in Brussels, the European Parliament’s Sub-committee for Human Rights will hold a Panel discussion on the legislative aspects of media freedom in Western Balkans and Turkey.
EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre has been invited to speak about EBU Partnership Programme and highlight the key contribution of PSM to media freedom. A full programme of the panel debate is available here.
You can follow the debate, which is scheduled to start at 17h, via the European Parliament’s video streaming service. A full list of documents that will be circulated during the panel discussion can be found here (under OJ number 11).
On the next day – Thursday 20 June – the European Commission will host the Speak Up 2 Conference in Brussels. The event will bring together some 450 participants from international, regional and national organisations dealing with freedom of expression, as well as journalists, media analysts and decision-makers from the enlargement countries to discuss achievements, remaining issues and the way forward.
EBU Media Director Annika Nyberg Frankenhaeuser will moderate a panel discussion on New Media and New Journalism. The full programme of the event, including all speakers, can be found here.
