Screening of Les As de la Jungle at EBU Brussels' Office (EBU)

The EBU Brussels’ Office opened its doors on Sunday to families for a children’s screening of Les As de la Jungle – Opération Banquise, an animated film produced with the participation of France Télévisions.

“The EBU Brussels Office children’s screening has become a regular fixture during the festive season over the past years”, said EBU Head of European Affairs Nicola Frank. “It gives us an opportunity to show the parents that public service media are behind some excellent children’s movies, and the kids have great fun.”

Based on the successful animated series, Les As de la Jungle – Opération Banquise (The Jungle Bunch – The Movie) was first aired on television in December 2011 and was released in theatres in April this year. The film has been distributed in 150 countries, with 100 000 DVD copies sold in the United States, earning Toulouse-based TAT Productions a prize at the 2013 Kidscreen Awards for best animated TV movie as well as a nomination for the 2013 Kids Emmy Awards. A second season of the animated series will be aired by France 3 in 2014.

The event gathered around 80 parents and children with a number of EU officials and stakeholders attending for an entertaining and relaxing Sunday afternoon.
