The EBU has welcomed its new Head of Television and Future Media. Belgian Jeroen Depraetere began work on 1 December. He was formally the Managing Director of Tuvalu Media Belgium and replaces outgoing Head of TV Bettina Brinkmann.

Jeroen Depraetere previously worked at the EBU as Head of Special Events between 2003 and 2007 and was responsible for coordinating international co-productions including the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and Eurovision Young Musicians. From 2007 Depraetere also worked as a producer for various EBU events including the organisation’s General Assembly.

He was also project manager for the Eurovision Song Contest Digital Archive which provides a rich resource for EBU Members to access 60 years of content from the world’s biggest televised music competition.
