EBU response to the public consultation on draft BEREC guidelines on implementation of net neutrality rules
The EBU and its members – public service media (PSM) organisations from 56 countries across Europe and beyond – are strong supporters of an open, neutral andtransparent public Internet.
The open internet has allowed audiences to reach PSMtrusted brands across Europe by subscribing to access services. PSM services havetherefore helped to create substantial demand for Broadband Internet. As majorinvestors in high quality programming, news and documentaries, EBU members arekeen to secure that Internet access offerings across Europe continue to offer citizensaccess to a broad and diverse range of content.
The open internet remains key fordiversity and pluralism.
