Radio is all about sound, which is why the technical quality of the thousands of concerts exchanged each year among EBU Members needs to be absolutely flawless.

Recognizing this overriding importance and in order to promote the continuous sharing of knowledge and learning in the field of concert recordings, the Euroradio Contact Engineers and Music Group have proposed the New Sound Engineers Scheme, under which visits by senior sound engineers to EBU radio organizations will be arranged during the first half of 2017.

This new project is open to all Members. A committee of experts from the Contact Engineers and Music Group will select the participants from among those organizations applying either to offer or to welcome a senior sound engineer, who will be on site for at least two concerts, ideally of different genres. The recordings made will then be reviewed by peers and colleagues from expert groups.

The deadline for applications is 31 January 2017. All necessary information can be found here.
