Joint statement on Platform to Business Regulation
18 February 2019The EU's Platform-to-Business (P2B) Regulation is a first step towards a more open and competitive digital economy in Europe. The EU has recognised that certain platforms abuse their privileged position to impose unfair conditions and use harmful practices against their business users, with chilling effects on consumer choice and European businesses. We call on the EU to ensure that the Regulation paves the way for continued scrutiny of platforms' behaviour and additional measures to prevent discriminatory or unfair conduct.
