EBU Learnings on Contingency during the COVID-19 Outbreak
This document provides ideas for EBU Members to consider in dealing with some of the consequences of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak for your organisations. Based on the EBU’s own learnings through an early case of infection by one of our staff Members, it provides some recommendations on special taskforce operations and operational priorities. It is not an exhaustive set of recommendations, and can be used in conjunction with Health & Safety guidance from the World Health Organisation and relevant public authorities in your own markets.
Separately to this document, a number of specific EBU groups have been set up to share best practice. We will be proposing to expand this to other areas that may be of interest to you and will keep you informed on our COVID-19 Contingency Measures page.
We are all learning in a short space of time, most of all that the Coronavirus is a fast-moving situation. There may be changes to the experience we are sharing, so we will review and update this document regularly. Finally, and most importantly, guided by the unique spirit of exchange and knowledge-sharing that characterise the EBU community, we are open to your suggestions. So please don’t hesitate to contact EBU Member Relations ([email protected]) to share your experience and ideas during these exceptional times.
