Terms and Conditions — World Athletics Social Media Ticket Competition

This competition is organized by the European Broadcasting Union – Union Européenne de Radio-Télévision, 17A L’Ancienne-Route, 1218 Le Grand Saconnex, Geneva, Switzerland. Facebook or Instagram is not in any way affiliated, associated or involved in the competition. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.

Eligibility: This competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or older, residing in the European Union, Switzerland and the UK.

Employees of the EBU and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Entry Period: The competition will run from 24 July 2023 to 2 August 2023. All entries must be submitted within this period to be considered.

How to Enter: To enter the competition, participants must:

1. Follow our official Facebook or Instagram account (@EBU.HQ or @EBU_HQ)
2. Like the competition post
3. Tag a friend in the comments that they’d like to take with them to the event

No purchase necessary:  the winner will not be required to pay to participate in the competition.

Winner Selection: The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries. The draw will take place within three days after the competition's end date.

Prize: The prize consists of a pair of tickets to the World Athletics in Budapest on the 20th August and a one-night stay at a designated hotel. Flights or other transportation to the event location are NOT included.

Prize Conditions:

1. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
2. The tickets and hotel stay are allocated subject to availability and the event's schedule.
3. Any additional expenses (including meals, travel, and personal expenses) are the sole responsibility of the winner.
4. The winner must claim the prize within three days of being notified. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and the selection of a new winner.

Winner Announcement: The winner will be announced on our Facebook or Instagram page within seven days after the prize claim period ends.

Personal information: when you participate in this competition, your personal information will be collected by the EBU and will only be used for the purpose of processing your participation and conducting the competition. To find out more about how the EBU will use your information, including your rights in relation to it and how to contact us about it please see the EBU’s privacy policy.

Publicity: By participating in this competition, the winner agrees to allow the EBU to use their name and likeness for promotional purposes without any additional compensation.

Disqualification: The EBU reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the terms and conditions or engages in any fraudulent or inappropriate behaviour.

Modification or Termination: The EBU reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition or these terms and conditions at any time for any reason without prior notice or liability.

The EBU's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Governing law and jurisdiction: This competition and its terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The place of jurisdiction shall be exclusively Geneva, Switzerland.
