No strings attached: MetaPuppet on the disruption, democratization and total freedom of AI filmmaking

At the 2025 Scandinavian Creative AI Summit, in Copenhagen, we met a multitalented filmmaker by the name of MetaPuppet. He’s done it all: editor, writer, musician, actor, but it was the advent of generative AI that took MetaPuppet, who’s Head of Genre at AI-first studio Promise, to a new, happier place.  

“I was in the sound department, I was an actor, I wrote scripts that never got made. I edited other people’s projects,” he said. “But nothing gave me the full creative freedom I craved. Now, with AI, I can finally visualise the ideas I’ve had in my head for years and share them with the world.”
