Libre Software Meeting
The Libre Software Meeting, LSM (or RMLL: Rencontre Mondiale du Logiciel Libre) is an international event consisting of conference presentations, round tables and practical workshops on Free and Open Source Software. The event provides a platform for users, developers and stakeholders. Attendance is free of charge and open to everyone.
LSM 2013 is taking place in Belgium, hosted by the ULB - Université Libre de Bruxelles. It will be a tri-lingual event - French, Dutch and English - but the majority of technical talks will be presented in English.
Media, Radio & Television
As at last year's event, which was hosted in Geneva, the EBU is organizing conference sessions dealing with Free and Open Source Software for Media, Radio and TV. The sessions will cover authoring, recording, ingest, editing, management, storage, encoding, play-out, streaming, broadcast transmission and user devices software projects, how they are used in practice and what its features/limitations are.
Colleagues from EBU Members and from the wider community will share their experiences.
