Radio News & Journalism Conference 2014
The conference will look at the role of public service broadcasters in a changing news market, with a special focus on understanding and engaging with audiences.
At the kind invitation of SWR, this year's Radio News & Journalism Conference is taking place in Baden-Baden, on 18th and 19th September. The conference will look at the role of public service broadcasters in a changing news market, with a special focus on understanding and engaging with audiences.
The EBU Journalism & Radio News Subcommittee sets the conference agenda in collaboration with Eurovision Media Online , which is also responsible for producing the event.
The conference will start at 10h00 on Thursday 18th and end at 13h00 on Friday 19th.
Among the highlights will be a visit to SWR's brand new E-Lab, which aims to develop innovative cross media formats for young audiences. Sessions will include:
- How to reach younger audiences with news
- Understanding audiences and building brands
- The changing news market
- Challenges for Public Service Media
- Quality management in news and journalism
Nestled in the northern foothills of the Black Forest, on the banks of the Oos River, Baden Baden is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Germany. It is not only famous for its spas, casino and elegant shops, but is also the home of the world famous Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte.
