The Voice of Public Service Media

EBU Communications and Yle are proud to host this year’s first 'Voice of Public Service Media' meeting.

The meeting will take place at Yle’s headquarters in Helsinki on 28 and 29 April 2016. The 2-day meeting will focus on this year’s key project: the launch of a pan-European movement/campaign for public service media that we hope will fundamentally change attitudes to public service media in Europe.

The project has the full support of the Communications Directors Steering Committee and will involve a number of other EBU Member groups in order to get wide support for this pan-European campaign.

Programme

The programme will be mostly workshop based and will feature a number of presentations from Members across Europe. Discussions will be centred around:

  • Presentation of the survey results ‘What is PSM to you?’, and the PSM Brand Core
  • The Creative Brief and Next Steps
  • Examples of Public Value campaigns from Members
  • PSM marketing campaign:
    • Messages & Strapline
    • Social media techniques (session curated by the Eurovision Social Media Trends Network)
    • Examples of on-air (TV) public value campaigns (session curated by the Eurovision Connect Steering Group)
