Kids Working Session on Online Platforms (FAANGS)

The Online Platforms or FAANGS (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google, Spotify) discussions represent all the activities that EBU pursues on behalf of its Members to establish outcome-based relationships with industry-leading third-party platforms and new-media value-chain players. The focus is currently is on Facebook and Google, with new connections made with TikTok, Apple and Spotify. Over the past year, there has been an increasing amount of overlap between the Online Platforms discussions and the Kids community. Therefore a more specific subtrack, Kids and Online Platforms (FAANGS), was created to tackle all the issues surrounding this topic.

Join the EBU Digital and Kids teams for a working session to plan the Kids x Platforms priorities and roadmap for 2021. Together we will look at the common challenges, best practices and the way forward for working with the FAANGS.

The priorities of the session will be:

  1. A look at the actions and plans for the Online Platforms topic set for 2020-2021
  2. Tour de table and a small exercise with our Kids experts to understand needs, challenges and opportunities
  3. Some best practice from other Members who are currently tackling the topic

More information on the Digital Team’s work on Online Platforms can be found here.
