Documentary Experts Meeting "Inspirational Day"

The 2021 Spring session of the EBU Documentary Experts Community will touch upon different topics over the course of two days*.

This first day will be about “inspiration and cooperation” with roundtables and workshops on:

• Creation and development of a documentaries network (working title: Big 5) based on mutualized contributions spent on (pre-)acquisition of major documentary films each year.
• Generation Africa: An exciting documentary series putting forward a new narrative on migration from the perspective of young Africans.
• How to market documentaries online: best strategies to increase visibility online through social media campaigns, teasing on/for different screens to address all audiences.

Tuesday 15 June 2021

The traditional pitching session(s) will take place about a month later, on Tuesday 15 June. This will be a new opportunity for the EBU Members joining in to either pitch the projects they have in development or to join forces and build future collaborations. Project proposals should be dedicated to cultural issues, current affairs, arts and culture and contemporary history.
