Meeting the Challenges of our Time

Europe is facing an unprecedented environmental crisis. Fires are raging across Greece while floods are ravaging parts of the continent. The consequences of climate change, predicted by the IPCC more than three decades ago, are now factual and affect the entire world. As public service radio broadcasters, one question remains crucial: What is our role in helping tackle this global challenge?

EBU Media is delighted to invite you to an online conversation with ORF’s Radio Ö1. We'll hear about an inspiring example of how to involve younger generations and many other topics.

Throughout this one-hour session, the producers Monika Kalcsics, Ina Zwerger and Margit Desch will present their international project Fixing the Future and how you can join this worldwide initiative. Part of the discussion will be focusing on the Europe-wide Climate Walk 2022 as a proposal for an EBU joint initiative.

The session will end with an open Q&A, moderated by Edita Kudláčová, EBU Head of Radio and Madiana Asseraf-Jacob, EBU Head of Business Development and Young Audiences.
