TV Music Experts Plenary 2023

The EBU TV Music Experts’ plenary is the annual meeting for commissioners and editors of music and cultural programming on EBU member broadcasters’ linear and digital platforms.

The event will be once again held at the kind invitation of the ITF Golden Prague Festival, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary and has become the annual meeting point for public-service cultural and music department commissioners and editors.

The meeting is open to all EBU members and is free to attend. Registration is open until 4 September via the ITF Golden Prague accreditation page.

Please carefully look at the programme for the Golden Prague festival. Members are warmly encouraged to register for any sessions of interest in the festival's programme, in particular those described below:

20 September 2023

9:30 - 12:30 CEST - Plenary Meeting EBU
Participants will learn more about EBU and its Members' work across music, dance & cultural programming. This year's meeting will focus on the challenge of keeping our content relevant for a wide audience while preserving quality, as well as on opportunities for collaboration, including a preview of the 2024 edition of Eurovision Young Musicians which will take place in Bodø, Norway.

13.30 - 15.30 CEST - Panel: Turning Classical Music (back) into Entertainment
During this session, a panel including broadcasters, producers and format distributors will consider what cultural programme commissioners can learn from entertainment formats, where arts and culture-themed programming is a popular subgenre. How can such formats help broadcasters build the case for culture as entertainment?
