Unveiling the EBU Opera Programming Survey results

Contemporary opera has consistently held an important place in opera programming for radio, guided by a sense of mission or genuine audience interest. A recent survey with the participation of 40 channels on opera programming, raised questions about suitable formats for radio, aligning with audience preferences, and highlighted the priorities that channels consider when selecting content, as well as their programming approach.

This session will reveal the results of the EBU Opera Programming Survey, and we will discuss its highlights with the guests. How can we approach contemporary opera programming effectively, encouraging listeners to explore and appreciate the genre, and help the genre itself become more appealing and attractive?
