EBU DG addresses Members from South East Europe in Albania

Durres, Albania - Director General Ingrid Deltenre addressed directors general of EBU Members from South East Europe at a meeting hosted by Petrit Beci, chief executive of Albanian Radio and Television, RTSH.
Speaking to the association of Public Service Media in South East Europe, founded last year, she gave overviews of digitization and of key current developments and activities in the EBU. She also gave a progress report on EBU discussions with the European Commission on funding for a wide-ranging project entitled "Towards sustainable and independent public service media in South East Europe".
Other speakers included:
- Pirro Koçi of Albania's National Council of Radio Television, on the digitalization process in Albania
- Peter Karanakov, director general of Macedonian Radio and Television and Secretary General of the association of PSM in SEE
- Fikirie Berker of Turkish Radio & Television, who offered to lead an association committee on archiving on the basis of TRT's experience of digitalizing its archives
- Arben Fetoshi of RTK Kosovo on regional cooperation between RTK, RTSH and Macedonian Radio
- Nela Gudeli, head of training at Croatian Radio and Television, and chair of the association's Education Committee.
