Rose d’Or festival
The other Eurovision project headlining at Mipcom this year is the Rose d’Or festival.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is to return Entertainment TV's foremost international gala – the Rose d’Or Festival – to its traditional European roots. Rights to the Festival, which began in 1961, were acquired by the EBU in August 2012.
The event rewards quality and innovation, values prized by the EBU and its public service Members, who promote a spirit of free exchange of knowledge and ideas.
Eurovision, operated by the EBU will organize the event in Brussels. The Festival now forms a central part of the annual Eurovision Media Summit which attracts experts, decision makers and contributors across all sectors and genres of media content.
The Rose d’Or team are pleased to welcome EBU Members and Mipcom delegates to experience the Rose d’Or virtual screening room at the Eurovision stand. A private screening room for the 2013 Rose d’Or competition has been created on the content market platform Eurovision Showcase.
