Productions from Belgium, Norway, Italy, Japan, Australia and the UK picked up trophies at the 63rd Rose d’Or Awards on Monday, including the series Baby Reindeer in the Drama category and a profile of composer Ryuichi Sakamoto in the Arts category.

Hosted by comedian and writer Sophie Duker, the lively ceremony at King’s Place in London gathered hundreds of guests to celebrate excellence in international TV and audio programmes across 13 categories and three special awards. The full list is below.

“Congratulations to the winners and to everyone from a remarkable field of more than 700 entries from 30 countries,” said Mark Rowland, Chair of the Rose d’Or Awards. “Every year, it gets more and more competitive. That’s a testament to the calibre of the shows and their production teams – and it makes for very tough choices for our judges.”

The finalists in each category were voted for by a jury of more than 100 broadcast executives, distributors and producers.

Rosario Fiorello, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award for an extraordinary career that has defined Italian TV entertainment for decades, said receiving the Rose d'Or was “like a dream come true”.

“It’s an award I want to share with everyone who has accompanied me on this journey and together with the audience who has always supported me,” Fiorello said.

Performance of the Year went to Gary Oldman for his unforgettable portrayal of Jackson Lamb in Slow Horses. Ambika Mod won the Emerging Talent Award for her breakout performance in the romantic hit One Day.

“Playing Jackson Lamb has been so enjoyable that to be recognised by the Rose d’Or for this role is absolutely amazing,” Oldman said.

“Thank you for thinking of me and my work,” Mod said. “It's such a privilege to work in this industry as an actor, let alone be recognised in ways such as this!”

For Jean Philip De Tender, Director of Media and Deputy Director General at the European Broadcasting Union, the awards highlight the breadth, depth and diversity of talent and topics year after year.

“From gritty news and investigative pieces to entertainment that makes us laugh, cry and think, the Rose d’Or Awards bring out our best as an industry serving audiences in many essential ways,” De Tender said. “Huge thanks to everyone for your creativity and commitment. Please keep it coming!”
