Media Summit Focus Day: The art of storytelling

The 2013 Media Summit, a Eurovision and Euroradio event, is a forum for programme-makers and content producers which will take place on 28-31 May in Brussels. The Special Focus Day (30 May) lies at the heart of the Media Summit and promises to be a fascinating top-level discussion, with presentations from innovative, thought-provoking and inspirational speakers.

This year, the focus will be on the art of storytelling. In all genres of programming the art of telling a story keeps our audiences not only engaged but emotionally connected to programmes.

In the morning, some of the best programming in the industry over the last year will be screened at the Proud to Present session. Producers and directors will explain their storytelling experiences and provide insight into what makes a strong story.

In the afternoon session, a bold and exciting vision for the future will be shared as well as how programme-makers from around the world can play a strong part in shaping not only the stories we tell but how and where we tell them.

The Summit also welcomes Expert Group meetings and specialist sessions including the Vision2020 Trends Conference and Eurovision Connect.

The Media Summit is a unique opportunity bringing together Europe's finest producers and commissioners, industry experts and decision-makers across the key programme genres. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with the most creative people, and to share and discuss the most exciting and thought-provoking ideas.

Delegates who register for the Special Focus Day are automatically invited to the Rose d’Or – an evening celebration of the best of the best in Entertainment programming. This year’s event will be attended by Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, and will be hosted by Dutch TV celebrity Lucille Werner.
