Viewers from the 37 countries participating in the Eurovision Song Contest will vote for their favourite songs via a pan-European televoting system, which will open after all the contestants have performed.

In addition, professional juries from each of those countries will have a 50 per cent stake in the outcome. The professional juries each comprise six representatives.

EBU Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand says Europe will have a chance to enjoy a great night of entertainment on Saturday.

"My congratulations to all our qualifiers,” said Mr Sand. “While I'm not a man given to making predictions at this stage, I can confidently say that our audiences on TV and at the arena are in for a treat in Saturday's Grand Final!”

The shows, which are expected to be watched by more than 170 million fans worldwide, will be transmitted live over the Eurovision and Euroradio Networks to Europe and beyond by EBU Member, DR.

It was the song Only Teardrops, sung by the Danish singer Emmelie de Forest that gave Denmark the chance to host this year's event.
