Media Intelligence Portal celebrates one-year anniversary
20 April 2015
The EBU’s Media Intelligence Portal this week marks its first-year anniversary.
The portal, an exclusive Members-only area of the EBU website, was launched in April 2014 as an access point to data and analysis on a wide range of topics affecting the media industry.
The library has grown rapidly over the past 12 months, and now contains more than 90 documents, including reports, datasets, country and company profiles and infographics.
The publications cover topics including audience, channels & services, programming & content distribution, funding, market trends, new media and telecommunications.
Documents include:
- 32 country profiles
- 6 company profiles
- Extensive datasets compiled from EBU Members and collected via the MIS Survey
In November 2014 the tool was redesigned to include additional search and filtering parameters to improve the user experience.
In the past year the Media Intelligence Portal has received more than 12,000 visits from users in 58 countries. Popular downloads include the annual report on Funding of Public Service Media and the recently published Digital Radio Toolkit.
The Media Intelligence Service is constantly adding new documents to the portal. In the coming months users can expect to access new country profiles, an update of the popular Netflix profile and documents relating to the EBU project ‘PSM Contribution to Society’.
