Euroradio Music Plenary opens in Helsinki

Euroradio Members have gathered in the Finnish capital Helsinki to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing public service music broadcasters.

The two-day meeting (28-29 May) is taking place against the backdrop of celebrations surrounding the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jean Sibelius, Finland's national composer.

Keynote speakers include EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre, and long-serving Euroradio Head of Music Pierre-Yves Tribolet, whose farewell appearance precedes his retirement in August.

Other highlights include a panel debate on the role of classical music in contemporary society as well as group discussions on rights issues and best practices in radio music offers.
