The 3 jurors who will decide the winner of the 2015 Eurovision Young Dancers (EYD) competition have been revealed by the EBU and host broadcaster Česká Televise (ČT).

Canadian hip-hop choreographer Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé, renowned Czech ballet dancer and Principal of SemperOper Ballet Jiří Bubeníček, and former EYD winner Spanish ballet dancer Zenaida Yanowsky will judge dancers from 10 countries who will compete for the top prize at the New Theatre in Pilsen, Czech Republic on June 19.

The 14th edition of the biennial event, open to dancers aged between 16 and 21 years old, will feature the cream of young European talent from Albania, the Czech Republic, Germany, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.

Albania and Malta are making their debut in the event which is marking its 30^th anniversary having been first staged in Italy in 1985.

Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev said it will be an exciting competition: “Eurovision Young Dancers features a solo performance by each participant, then a ‘group dance’, for which the dancers are divided into two groups. The jury will then select two finalists and they will perform a dance-off dual to decide the winner.”

“This inspiring event gives outstanding young European dancers an international platform like no other, on which to showcase their talents,” he added.

The 90 minute show is geared towards audiences of all ages. Millions of television and online viewers from across Europe are expected to watch the live broadcast.

The event takes place every two years, alternating with Eurovision Young Musicians. The competition is open to solo dancers aged between 16 and 21 from countries whose public service media are members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
