EBU publishes copyright handbook for Members
14 March 2016
The EBU Legal team is pleased to announce the publication of the EBU Copyright Handbook. Complementing the more general Copyright Guide, published in 2014, the handbook is geared towards broadcasting practitioners with a legal background.
Building on the long experience of EBU lawyers in providing tailored legal advice to EBU Members, the purpose of the handbook is to give public service broadcasters a general introduction as well as an overview of key copyright issues, with a particular focus on EU law.
The handbook has no academic pretentions and is not a substitute for legal advice, rather it aims to serve as a quick reference manual. We trust it will prove useful and invite our Members to contact Heijo Ruijsenaars, EBU Head of Intellectual Property, for any further information.
Non-Members are invited to contact the EBU Legal Secretariat for information on how to obtain a copy.
