Kazimir Bacic elected as Director General of HRT

The Croatian Parliament has elected Kazimir Bacic as the new Director General of HRT.

Bacic was the former Head of Technology at HRT and was elected, on the proposal of the Committee for Information and Technology, with 90 votes for and 12 abstentions.

Bacic is a long-time employee of Croatian Radio and Television. Since 1984 he has worked in a variety of engineering roles including as Assistant Director General for development and technology. He actively participated in the EBU's Vision 2020 project and is an active member of the EBU's Technical Committee. Since last November he has also been Vice-President of the International Group for Connectivity Media.
