After serving for several years as Chairman, Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation CyBC, Thanasis Tsokos was appointed Director General of the public service broadcaster earlier this year.

Thanasis earned his Masters in Public Administration from the School of Law of the University of Nicosia, as well as his Masters in Communication Studies – Media and Journalism in the Information Society from Frederick University, Nicosia. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Pireus, Greece.

Thanasis has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Youth Organization.

He and his wife Soteroula Tsokou have two children.
