Kalle Sandhammar has been appointed as the new CEO of Utbildningsradion, the Swedish Educational Broadcast Company.
He is a Swedish journalist and publisher and was previously CEO, editor-in-chief and publisher of Upsala Nya Tidning, one of Sweden's largest regional newspapers. Before that he served in the same role at the local newspaper Norrländska Socialdemokraten.
He was also a manager in various positions at the national newspaper Dagens Nyheter, primarily working with their digital channels.
Sandhammar is 48 years old and will take up his position at Utbildningsradion this month.
