Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė re-elected Director General of LRT
04 October 2023Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė has been re-elected as Director General of the Lithuanian public service broadcaster LRT.
Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė has more than 25 years of journalistic experience, working for Lithuanian regional and national media outlets, together with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. For almost 17 years, she worked as editor-in-chief and columnist at the largest Lithuanian digital news platform DELFI.lt.
In 2018, she was appointed as Director General of Lithuanian National Radio and Television through a public competition and has been re-elected to this position for a five-year term. She is also a member of the EBU's Executive Board and serves on the Audit Commitee.
