AI, Ethics and Public Media – Spotlighting Sveriges Radio

13 February 2026

This is episode six of our AI, Ethics and Public Media series, as we discuss topics including ethical principles, guidance to staff and AI literacy. And on World Radio Day 2026, the EBU Academy explored the ethical thinking on AI at Sveriges Radio (SR).

Sweden’s public service radio is one of the EBU Members at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence use. For example, SR offers a chatbot that allows the audience to ask questions about news content and receive summarized answers.

Our guest is Sveriges Radio’s Head of AI, Andreas Landmark, who started his career at one of SR’s local stations, and who has worked on Artificial Intelligence at Swedish news organization, Aftonbladet and the country’s public media television, SVT.
