Boosting young careers with Classe Alpha
France Télévisions’ Human Resources Department is addressing diversity and equality on the basis of 5 pillars:
- Disabilities – congenital and/or occurring later in life
- Gender equality
- Sexual orientation and gender identity
- Diversity across all generations
- Social and ethnocultural diversity
France Télévisions has initiated a programme, Classe Alpha (Alpha Class), in partnership with the National Audiovisual Institute (INA), the first course of which commenced in 2020. It is aimed at young people aged between 17 and 25.
INA hosts Classe Alpha over 10 months, helping to instil expertise in audio-visual, digital, editing and radio technology, to name but a few of the modules on offer.
The course prepares youngsters for a career in TV, radio and digital editing. France Télévisions is working in close partnership with INA, and together they have developed a competence and job certification linked to the course, so that students can then build on the broad range of digital and audiovisual training received in other places learning or on the job
