Legal and Policy Assembly

The Legal and Policy Assembly gathers Members that work in legal or policy areas. It governs the advocacy work that the EBU does towards, primarily, the EU Institutions. Topics include funding, online platforms, prominence, distribution, AI, data privacy as well as media freedom and pluralism. Our goal is to ensure the right legislative frameworks for public service media.

This session (in person only, no online transmission) will be hosted in Geneva and will take place at the EBU Headquarters, 

Please also note that interpretation in session will be provided in English and in French during the whole event,

31st Session of the Legal and Policy Assembly

28 - 29 May 2026

Registration is now open for our 31st Legal & Policy Assembly !

This session (in person only, no online transmission) will be hosted in Alcalá de Henares in cooperation with our Spanish Member RTVE.

The Legal & Policy Assembly will take place at the University of Alcalá de Henares, an historical venue in Cervante's hometown. 

Please also note that interpretation in session will be provided in English and in French during the whole event, and exceptionnally, Spanish interpretation will also be provided on the Thursday morning session (only) of the event.
