News Assembly

The 21st News Assembly will take place in Larnaca, Cyprus on 18 & 19 November, hosted by CYBC.

The News Assembly is where the future direction of the EBU News department is decided. It’s your opportunity to get involved and help shape the priorities for the year ahead.

It’s also the perfect networking forum, for News Directors, Editors-in-Chief and Foreign Editors to exchange views about improving news coverage and adapting to the ever-changing needs of audiences.

The meeting will start at 09:00 local time on Thursday 19 November and will close at 14:00 local time on Friday 20 November.

Attendees are kindly invited to join us on Wednesday 18 November at 19:00 local time, for a welcome cocktail.

BY-ELECTION

There is a vacancy for a Member of the EBU News Committee and a by-election will be held during the upcoming News Assembly. Further details about the call for candidates and the entire election process will be shared in due course; in the meantime, the EBU News Committee's terms of reference are available in the documents below.
