SayHi Eurovision Kids Friendship Campaign 2023 Report

In November 2023, for the fourth consecutive year, the Eurovision Kids Friendship campaign successfully united children across Europe in a celebration of inclusion and friendship.
This annual initiative, led by public broadcasters from various European countries, encouraged children to engage in a dance that symbolized unity and the value of every individual within society.

The campaign was anchored by the song "SveveHøyt" (“We’re Flying”), originally produced by NRK for their National “BLIME” campaign. This song, adapted, translated, and produced in the native languages of all participating broadcasters, carried the message that everyone matters and plays a crucial role in society, captured by the theme "We All Belong.“

Creative content and shared experiences were central to this campaign, beginning in September 2023 with the dissemination of various content items and experiments that explored the themes and messages behind the campaign.

In November, the international version of the song was released, culminating in a dedicated #SayHi week from Monday 20 to Friday 24 November 2023.

During this week, members provided their own coverage and organized related activities, ranging from potential live broadcasts to offline events, all aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and friendship among children.

Shortly after the campaign, the participating broadcasters were asked to provide the EBU with feedback on the campaign's performance and impact in their countries. This report delves into the campaign's implementation, the participating broadcasters' efforts, the impact on audiences across Europe, and the collective celebration of the message "We All Belong."
