Welcoming the European Commission's proposal for a Regulation on General Data Protection, the EBU wishes to focus on two areas which are of fundamental importance for European media: ensuring the right balance between the fundamental rights of data protection and freedom of expression and information, as well as establishing adequate protection for minors in the online environment.
